Well,.... The Birmingham News in Alabama on al.com mentioned Southern Spirits from Pennsylvania in the Aug 4th edition. Apparently James Carville made a quote that "Pennsylvania was Philadelphia and Pittsburgh with Alabama in between" and the band Southern Spirits from that same state plays Sweet Home Alabama!" (quoting both James Carville and adding the article quote as it appeared) We also made the Philly Examiner about our gig at the Alpine Inn a few weeks ago... (man WHAT A NICE ROOM!), and that article was very flattering also.
guess we gotta learn We're Ba-a-a-a-a-a-d, We're nationwide. Hope to see y'all at the Homestead in Ellwood or when we pack 'em in like sardines at Six Packs in New Castle, PA. Thats gonna be soooooo wild. A good time will be had by all. THANKS BIRMINGHAM ALABAMA!!!

A little time off
Well... The pig roast was a success. Thanks to all who came out. I also wanna thank everyone who came out to the Alpine Inn just off the Beaver Falls exit of the PA turnpike on Rt 18 N. What a BEAUTIFUL room. Thanks lisa and Al for having us, and Allan (Alan?) for booking us at the Heritage Days Festival the afternoon of Oct 3rd in Homewood Junction just across the street from the Inn and behind the Holiday Inn Beaver Falls. Cant wait to play the Inn again on Oct 3 after the festival. And AGAIN fo the Halloween party Oct 31! we're up on facebook guys. Search Southern Spirits. Got links to our website and blog!
